like serpents licking our ears so we may hear...
hear the voices of the Ancestors
who live on in the Otherworld,
in Summerland of the Blessed women?
...are they overshadowing us
as we meet, gatherings of women
on Full Moon nights
attempting to remember our ancient
Lunar/menstrual mysteries
of ecstatic, orgiastic, oracular powers?

...are they the giant women I once saw
in my mind's eye
pounding alongside the motorway
with great strides
as we three women we driving to Wales,
Cymru - beloved country?
I remember seeing them, their bare feet & legs
sturdy, large & strong,
monumental as they towered above us
running in the wind at great speed.
are they the old women of
many races
ancient, dignified & wise,
their stern & beautiful & kind/loving faces
that I saw close up in a vision, a waking dream?
Women in long gowns and strange headdresses,
what ages were they from & where do they dwell now,
who were giving me healing
and gathering around me
in a moment of crisis and grief
on that mountain in Andalucia
where I was staying with the Rainbowtribe
and my friend Eveon, sacred woman
at Benficio near Granada.
